  • Mike Hodgson is the Head of Innovation Engagement at BT. Mike has over 20 years of experience working in the innovation field mainly as a technology scout, working with start-ups from across the globe. Mike will discuss what he believes are the traits an entrepreneur, who is pushing and idea or innovation within their business, should have to maximise their chance of success. He’ll share direct insights on start-ups he’s worked with that have succeeded and why they did, and also provide you with some lessons from history and why some of the start-ups failed.
  • Ahmad Abugosh from AstroLabs, Dubai will discuss the life of a start-up in the UAE. What they have to go through and consider, what works well, what doesn’t, and give some helpful advice to maximise your ideas chance of success. Ahmad will talk about some of the current crop of exciting entrepreneurs at AstroLabs that may just be perfect for your business to partner with.
  • Francesco Furnari is Founder of Clarity International, a Digital Design Integrator providing Digital Learning and Employee Engagement services. He has designed and run 700+ projects for clients including HSBC, Huawei, HP, Microsoft, and BT, delivered masters-level lectures (University of London), and co-authored the book "Exploring Internal Communication" (Pearson). Francesco, having all the war wounds of setting up and managing his own business, will talk about neuro-communication techniques and how their usage leverages and brings greater efficacy to marketing, sales, training, and engagement programmes by harnessing recent scientific findings in the field of brain research - stand out from the crowd! He has won numerous awards including the “CMO of the Year 2016 – UK SME category”.
