Nathan Eden

Head of Innovation

Prior to joining EBTIC, Nathan worked as an Innovation Consultant with BT in the UK where he started in 2000 after achieving a degree in Computer Science. Initially starting his career managing multiple innovation projects to help rapidly articulate and accelerate ideas by building proof of concepts, prototyping, running hackathons or hothouses, or managing user trials for example, Nathans experience saw him quickly move to owning full innovation programmes. He started running the innovation programme for Health in BT, which soon expanded to include Government as well. Nathans role prior to joining EBTIC was programme managing the Business and Public Sector (BPS) area for BT, driving the innovation agenda for this line of business.

Throughout all of his career, Nathan has also worked as an innovation consultant to BTs major corporate and Government customer base, such as Lloyds Bank, Tesco, DHL, British Airways, the NHS and many more. His remit was to differentiate BT from its competitors by driving an innovation agenda with each customer, understanding their business drivers. The aim was to launch new products for BT to provide to the customer to help them realise business benefit via new products and services or operational efficiencies. His innovation differentiation role has helped BT close nearly £3bn over recent years. Nathan also scouts for companies working on the latest innovations and disruptive technologies across the globe, and has had many successes launching new products and services for BT and client organisations with start-ups from Silicon Valley, Europe and the Far East.
