EBTIC Celebrates its First Three Patents Granted in China

EBTIC are delighted to announce that it has been successful in having its first three patents granted in China. All of the patents are in the area of network synchronisation and follows on from collaborative research at EBTIC, with its partners. This is the first time Khalifa University (including the Petroleum and Masdar Institutes) have patents granted in China.

Announced during the visit by the Chinese President, Mr Xi Jinping, to the UAE, EBTIC and Khalifa PR team worked with the prominent Emirati daily newspaper, Al Ittihad, who ran an exclusive on the story. On the 19th July 2018 Al Ittihad newspaper published an article, primarily on network synchronisation and the three EBTIC patents, and also included an interview with Dr. Nawaf Almoosa, Deputy Director of EBTIC, highlighting the importance of patenting in China and the plans to commercialise the synchronisation technology.
